October through December gardening: Slow trickle of squash and tiny tomatoes

The last three months of the year went super fast on account of my classes. The garden kind of went on the back burner, but still it produced some squash. It ended up being nowhere near the quantity I was hoping for. This was partly due to inconsistent watering, but I think mostly due to planting way too much too close together. I lot of the leaves got huge but then died out due to crowding. Many of the plants produced few or no fruits. Still, we got edible food for the first time this year, and that was great!

I also made a trip in November home for my maternal grandmother’s funeral.
