Post office box street addressing and notifications

Posted at age 28.

About six weeks ago I got a post office box. Soon after that I signed up for “street addressing“, a service provided by my post office involving an alternative address format that somewhat disguises that I have a PO box. I also now get delivery notifications for pieces of mail sent to my box.

To sign up, I went to the post office and asked for the form for street addressing. I filled out several pages, one of which was for email notification signup. The notifications started with this email (which seems to have an extra “73” in the ZIP code):

From: NoReply
Date: Oct 29, 2016, 11:15 AM
