Little friends delivered with cabbage

I don’t have a lot of knowledge of cooking or motivation to drive the the grocery store and plan meals. I therefore have subscribed to farm boxes from Farm Fresh To You on and off while I’ve lived in San Francisco. They delivery fresh produce from local farms, but I also need to figure out what to do with it. And this time, I received some friends!

What a pleasant surprise to find some little slugs dining on the cabbage I was about to put in the freezer. Glad someone could eat it!

I first started buying more vegetables almost five years ago when I got a juicer and discovered a local bulk vegetables store in Milwaukee.

Once I got comfortable living in San Francisco, I started subscribing to the farm boxes while I lived in the “Crystal Palace” on Market Street in the Castro. They were kind of pricey, but delivered to my door, which was actually kind of a hassle there till I sent them a key to drop it inside the gate.

I canceled before I moved to Japan and resubscribed for the last half of 2016 till I decided I needed to take a break and sort my life out. I was getting too many things I didn’t know what to do with, and wasn’t making the time to figure it out. Hopefully I’ll rejoin soon!
