Good thing roller coasters don’t derail
Well, since I last wrote, much has happened.
School started again… I am quite pleased with my current schedule. Although I have five-class marathons three days a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays are wonderfully light. Computer Science 302: Introduction to Programming seems like it will be ridiculously easy for a while, and Economics 101, while somewhat fascinating, has not been very enlightening thus far. Spanish and chemistry are pretty standard… except I fear that I will pick up a whole new set of pronunciation peculiarities from my new teacher. Last semester, I had the lovely Karolina Aznar Lantermann, from Spain. I don’t know if it is a result of her speech or not, but now I tend to pronounce certain Spanish sounds with a bit of a lisp. Weird. My current teacher, Saylín Alvaréz, is from Cuba, and she says ‘osho’ instead of ‘ocho.’ Hehe. It will certainly not be long before I’m doing the same thing… yay!
In other news, I decided I need to be more optimistic, more understanding, more attentive, more caring, and more worry-free. I have not been any of those things lately, which put me — and those about whom I most care — through many a hardship. You live, you learn. This is a new beginning.

Oh! I went running four times in the past week! Yeah!
